The borehole electromagnetic tomography system (RIM2) is often used in coal applications to establish seam continuity between boreholes.
The RIM2 system is trailer mounted for ease of transport and can operate in a variety of locations. The photos below show the RIM2 system in action.

Typical applications of the RIM2 system in the coal environment include fault and intrusion mapping. The example shown below shows a RIM2 image from a Queensland open cut mine. A monoclinal fold has been successfully imaged.
